Who this is for

YOU HAVE THE ABILITY.
NOW TRAIN THE MENTAL GAME.

Mental performance matters wherever preparation meets pressure. For youth and high school athletes, we work with the athlete and speak directly with the parents who are investing in their development. We also serve executives and entrepreneurs.

01 / YOUNG ATHLETES & PARENTS

Help your athlete handle the pressure.

For parents who see their child train hard but struggle with nerves, confidence, frustration, or performing in competition.

02 / EXECUTIVES

Lead when the stakes are high.

Stay composed in difficult conversations, make clearer decisions, and maintain focus when demands increase.

03 / ENTREPRENEURS

Execute under uncertainty.

Reduce unproductive overthinking, prepare for critical conversations, and act with greater consistency.

For parents investing in their athlete

YOUR CHILD HAS THE SKILLS. BUT CAN THEY PERFORM UNDER PRESSURE?

You have invested time, money, and energy in practices, private lessons, camps, and competitions. But physical training is only part of preparation. Mental skills deserve attention, too.

Does this sound familiar?

  • Your athlete looks confident in practice but struggles in games.
  • One mistake affects the rest of the competition.
  • They overthink, get frustrated, or lose confidence.
  • Pressure makes it harder to show what they can do.

What your athlete can learn

  • Build confidence without depending on constant reassurance.
  • Manage nerves and redirect attention under pressure.
  • Reset mentally after mistakes.
  • Use visualization and positive, practical self-talk.
  • Prepare for competition with repeatable mental routines.

These are skills that can serve your child in sports, school, and life. Coaching is individualized, and progress depends on practice and each athlete's situation.

Talk About Coaching for Your Athlete ↗

A clear 12-week investment: your athlete receives structured lessons, practical training, and weekly private accountability. We help them practice the skills between games, not just talk about them.

For athletes under 18, a parent or legal guardian participates in enrollment and consent. We'll explain how athlete privacy and parent updates work before sessions begin.

Recognize the pattern?

THE CHALLENGE ISN'T ALWAYS YOUR SKILL.

In the moment, you might...

  • Second-guess decisions you normally make with confidence
  • Carry one mistake into the next play, meeting, or opportunity
  • Let nerves, frustration, or self-talk take over

Afterward, you might...

  • Replay what went wrong
  • Wonder why you performed differently than you practiced
  • Feel ready to work harder without knowing what to change
You don't always need more motivation. You need mental skills you can practice and use under pressure.
What we train

REAL MENTAL SKILLS FOR REAL MOMENTS.

We focus on the skills that matter most to your goals. Each one becomes part of your own preparation, execution, and recovery routine.

Emotional regulation

Recognize stress responses and practice regaining composure before they control your next action.

Confidence and self-talk

Build useful inner dialogue and learn to act even when doubt is present.

Focus under pressure

Direct attention toward what you can control in the present moment.

Visualization and rehearsal

Mentally rehearse situations, choices, and responses before they happen.

Performance routines

Create practical preparation and reset routines for your sport, work, or business.

Resilience and recovery

Review mistakes constructively and return attention to the next opportunity.

Your coaching journey

A 12-WEEK SYSTEM. BUILT FOR REAL PERFORMANCE.

Every week includes a lesson, an exercise to use in real situations, and a private accountability call to review progress and make adjustments.

STEP 01

Identify the interference

Begin with a mental performance assessment and a clear goal for your 12 weeks.

STEP 02

Train a new response

Learn practical skills through weekly coursework, exercises, and individualized coaching.

STEP 03

Apply, track, and strengthen

Use your skills in games, practices, meetings, or business. Review progress in your weekly call.

Awareness is the beginning. Training creates change.
Your 12-week roadmap

ONE SKILL AT A TIME. ONE WEEK AT A TIME.

This is a proposed foundation for the program. We personalize the examples, assignments, and priorities to your athlete's sport or your professional goals.

WEEKS 01–03 · FOUNDATION

Know your performance patterns

Week 1: Assessment and goals. Week 2: Pressure triggers and emotional awareness. Week 3: Confidence and productive self-talk.

WEEKS 04–06 · MENTAL SKILLS

Build control and focus

Week 4: Emotional regulation. Week 5: Attention and focus. Week 6: Visualization and mental rehearsal.

WEEKS 07–09 · REAL-WORLD APPLICATION

Prepare, perform, and reset

Week 7: Pre-performance routines. Week 8: In-the-moment reset tools. Week 9: Recovery from mistakes and setbacks.

WEEKS 10–12 · INTEGRATION

Make it your own

Week 10: Performing under pressure. Week 11: Consistency and accountability. Week 12: Reassessment and a personalized maintenance plan.

The goal isn't to finish a workbook. It's to use the tools when performance matters.
What's inside your program

TRAINING. PRACTICE. ACCOUNTABILITY.

Families can see what is included. Athletes know what to practice. Everyone understands the commitment.

For clients under 18, a parent or guardian is involved in enrollment. We agree on appropriate parent progress updates while respecting the athlete's privacy.

  • Initial mental performance assessment and personal goals
  • 12 weekly mental performance lessons and practical assignments
  • 12 private weekly accountability calls (proposed: 30 minutes each)
  • Personalized pre-performance, reset, and reflection routines
  • Simple weekly progress tracking and end-of-program review
  • Parent orientation and agreed progress touchpoints for minors

Course materials and delivery details are being finalized. Mental performance coaching is educational, not mental health treatment. Results vary with participation and practice.

Why work with Fred

I LOOK AT PERFORMANCE LIKE A SYSTEM.

For more than 30 years, I've worked in systems engineering, where finding what interferes with performance matters more than telling a system to try harder.

I also bring more than 40 years of experience as an athlete, including competing in NCAA Division I track and field and Masters Olympic weightlifting.

I combine that practical perspective with structured mental skills work. We look at what's happening, identify what needs attention, and train a better response.

Frequently asked questions

GOOD QUESTIONS. CLEAR ANSWERS.

Is this only for athletes?

No. Coaching is designed for athletes, executives, and entrepreneurs who want to improve how they think, prepare, and respond under pressure.

Is mental performance coaching the same as hypnotherapy?

No. This service focuses on learning and practicing mental performance skills. Hypnotherapy is a separate service and is not automatically part of coaching.

Do I have to be struggling to benefit?

No. Mental skills training can be useful for people who already perform well and want to become more consistent.

Is this therapy or mental health treatment?

No. Mental performance coaching is educational and performance-focused. It is not a substitute for diagnosis or treatment from a licensed mental health professional.

How long is the coaching program?

The proposed program runs for 12 weeks. You complete one training lesson and exercise each week, then meet privately for an accountability call to discuss practice, obstacles, and next steps.

Can I enroll my child in mental performance coaching?

Yes. Parents can start the conversation for a youth or high school athlete. Before coaching begins, we discuss the athlete’s goals, parent or guardian consent, and how communication and privacy will work.

Will parents receive updates?

We discuss expectations for parent involvement before enrollment. The athlete needs space to learn and practice openly, while parents need to understand the coaching goals, logistics, and appropriate progress updates.

Take the next step

GIVE YOUR NEXT 12 WEEKS A PURPOSE.

Whether you are investing in your athlete or training yourself to perform under pressure, start with a conversation about your goals and whether the 12-week program fits.

Schedule a Private 15-Minute Conversation ↗

No pressure. No commitment. This is a conversation, not a coaching session.
